CHERRY PIT 10-MILE RACEThe Annapolis Striders 28th annual Cherry Pit 10-Mile Racewill be held at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 6, at Central MiddleSchool at the South River High School Complex, 221 Central AvenueEast, Edgewater, MD.  Register online at www.annapolisstriders.org;mail registration must be received by March 29; race dayregistration, 6:30 to 7:30 a.m.  Pre-entry is $3 for AnnapolisStriders, $5 for non-members; all race day entries are $10.          The monitored course includes scenic rolling hills.  Waterand Gatorade will be available every two miles on the course;refreshments at the finish line.  Awards go to first male and femaleoverall and Masters and division awards to the top three age groupsin ten-year increments.          For Striders members this is the second leg of the ClubChampionship Series.  All runners are welcome.          The Cherry Pit race was first introduced to provide aten-mile alternative for runners whose entries for the WashingtonCherry Blossom had not been accepted.
