IPICO Sports Becomes the Official Timing System Vendor of the RRCA

The Road Runners Club of America (RRCA), the largest association of long distance running clubs and events, has partnered with IPICO Sports, who will become the Official Timing System Vendor for the RRCA.

The primary goal of the RRCA - IPICO Sports partnership is promote IPICO Sports' timing systems designed specifically for running clubs, events of all size, and training activities. IPICO Sports will work with the RRCA to develop new services for running clubs and events.

"IPICO Sports is leading the way to bring innovative timing technology to clubs and events that fit a club or event's budget," explains Jean Knaack, RRCA executive director. "Many clubs forego the benefit of timing an event, because timing systems have been out of their budget reach. RRCA National Grassroots Running Award Winners Announced
Since 1971, the RRCA has honored dedicated individuals for their outstanding service to the RRCA and the sport of long distance running. Between September and November of 2007, the RRCA collected nominations for the various award categories. Each award category has selection criteria, a selection committee that reviews nominations and determines the final winner, and the RRCA Board of Directors ratifies the final winners.

We are delighted to announce the 2007 National Grassroots Running Award Winners, and we thank the committee volunteers for their time. For a full list of the winners visit our website.
RRCA National Championship Event Bids Being Accepted
The bidding for the 2009 RRCA National Championship Events is now OPEN! Bid forms will be accepted until April 9, 2008. Take advantage of this opportunity to put your race in the national spotlight. Sponsorship opportunities through the RRCA are available.

Roads Scholar Grant Application Opens
rs logo Since 1996, the Road Runners Club of America has awarded stipends through its Roads Scholar program to assist American post-collegiate road runners who show great promise to develop into national and world class road running athletes. The RRCA is now accepting applications for our 2008-2009 Roads Scholar Class.
